Sr. Devops Engineer

Summary

Log(n) is hiring a DevOps Engineer for their Infrastructure team. The candidate will ensure infrastructure scales with growth, participate in on-call rotation, implement automation, manage AWS cost, and manage relationships with external vendors. They should have 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, 3+ years of AWS experience (with certifications preferred), expertise in IaC and Security-as-code, deep understanding of Kubernetes, strong foundational Linux skills, and experience configuring monitoring tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in a hands-on DevOps role
• 3+ years AWS experience (AWS certifications preferred)
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Security-as-Code
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes
• Strong foundational Linux, OS, and network skills
• Experience configuring and supporting monitoring tools (Prometheus, cloudwatch, ELK, SignalFX)

Responsibilities

• Ensure infrastructure scales with growth
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure reliability and uptime for global customers
• Hands-on approach in addressing issues, outages, and new solutions
• Implement infrastructure automation, developer productivity tools, and security tools
• Manage relationships with external vendors
• Manage AWS cost

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, especially distributed data stores such as Cassandra, Mongo, ElasticSearch, Couchbase, Redis
• Past exposure to big data ecosystems such as Spark, Kafka, Kinesis, AWS EMR
