Remote Sr DevOps Engineer

Summary

Excyl is a recruiting firm based in Troy-Michigan that specializes in placing Technology, Engineering, Clerical and Light Industrial professionals. They are currently seeking a long term contract DevOps Engineer to work remotely. The candidate must have significant experience with containerization and Docker, container orchestration using Kubernetes, AWS ECS or AWS EKS, Java programming and REST service development (minimum 10 years), microservice frameworks like Spring Boot, and DevOps tools such as Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins. The tasks for this role include integrating AWS codepipeline with ServiceNow and BitBucket APIs, building CICD pipelines using AWS cloudformation, and developing infrastructure as Code using Cloud formation YAML/JSON.

Requirements

• Significant development experience (6+ years) with containerization and Docker
• Container Orchestration skills (Example: Kubernetes, AWS ECS or AWS EKS 6+ years)
• Deep experience with Java programming (10+ years) and REST service development
• Significant experience (6+ years) with microservice frameworks like Spring Boot
• Significant experience (6+ years) with DevOps tools (Git/Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins)
• Experience (6+ years) with code quality tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx)
• Experience (6+ years) with CI-CD and blue-green deployments

Responsibilities

• Integrate AWS codepipeline with ServiceNow APIs
• Integrate AWS codepipeline with BitBucket APIs
• Build codepipeline, codedeploy and codebuild based CICD pipelines using AWS cloudformation
• Develop infrastructure as Code using Cloud formation YAML/JSON
