Summary

The job is for a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer at BlackCloak, a fast-growing company that protects corporate executives from digital threats. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth deployment processes and system performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role with a focus on cloud infrastructure. Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required
• Proficiency in GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, etc.)
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar
• Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native design principles
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on GCP using best practices and modern DevOps principles
• Develop, optimize, and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure fast and reliable software releases
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar
• Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Set up, configure, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
• Analyze system performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance the reliability, performance, and efficiency of cloud resources
• Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and compliance with relevant standards
• Work closely with software development teams to ensure that applications are designed for reliability, scalability, and performance in a cloud environment
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Mentor junior engineers and conduct training sessions as needed
