Sr. QA Automation Engineer in Bangladesh

Summary

The job is for a Senior Automation Engineer at Editorialist, a digital platform that combines personal styling, editorial content, and shopping. The role involves developing an automation framework to reduce manual testing effort and integrating it with the CICD pipeline.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
• 5 - 6 years experience in QA automation (Backend Expertise)
• Experience in API automation using Rest Assured/Apache HTTP Client or similar tool is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Setup QA automation and performance testing infrastructure for complex end to end and integration tests for iOS applications
• Prioritize and execute tests as part of the CICD pipeline
• Meet with the software design and QA team to discuss & understand verification protocols
• Troubleshoot automation software issues
• Prepare detailed test reports
• Conduct Performance Testing of Microservices
• Mentor junior members of the team and review their work

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in automating complex workflows is essential
• Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting, and problem-solving skill (Preferred Selenium, Java , TestNG, or equivalent)
• Experience with RDBMS like MYSQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL is preferred
• Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, Apache Storm, Apache Spark is preferred
• Experience working in the E-commerce frontend and backend domain will be a plus
• Understanding of Web Services - JSON/XML data formats
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
