Staff Accountant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – it’s a Must Have, Word)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Record and classify financial transactions in the general ledger
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Account and P&L analysis compared to budget and historical
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
• Identify opportunities to improve policies and procedures
• Assist in annual audits
• Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft GP or NetSuite
