📍Remote - United States

Summary

Join Nintex as a Staff Engineer and contribute to the design, architecture, and scaling of critical components within our intelligent automation platform. You will lead initiatives focused on LLM integration, agent tooling, and real-time orchestration across distributed systems. This role demands expertise in designing distributed systems, scaling real-world AI infrastructure, and providing technical leadership. As a technical leader, you will influence what we build and how we build it, driving long-term platform vision and mentoring others. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, and Data, to launch intelligent features. This remote position offers a hybrid working model with opportunities for in-person collaboration.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and API design
  • Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent toolkits
  • 2+ years working with or deploying ML models (fine-tuning, debugging, evaluation)
  • Strong collaboration skills — you’ve influenced technical direction in cross-functional or distributed teams
  • Clear track record of ownership over large-scale, customer-facing systems

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and scale critical components of our intelligent automation platform
  • Lead initiatives around LLM integration, agent tooling, and real-time orchestration across distributed systems
  • Own and deliver production-ready ML infrastructure — model evaluation, deployment, fine-tuning pipelines, and robust inference paths
  • Set technical direction across AI, backend, and infra teams — drive architecture, tooling choices, and long-term scalability decisions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, UX, and Data to launch intelligent features that are resilient and performant
  • Contribute as a hands-on builder and a trusted engineering leader who lifts others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Drive long-term platform vision , not just execute on near-term tickets
  • Work with a team that values depth, craftsmanship, and pragmatism
  • Lead from the front — with code, architecture, and thought partnership
  • Have the freedom to prototype, explore, and push boundaries with AI

Benefits

  • Global Gratitude and Recharge Days
  • Flexible, paid time off policy
  • Employee wellness programs and counseling resources
  • Meaningful peer recognition and awards
  • Paid parental leave
  • Invention/patenting assistance
  • Community impact, paid volunteer time, and opportunities
  • Intercultural learning and celebration
  • Multiple tools through which to learn and grow, and an incredible global community
