Summary

Join Grafana Labs as a remote Software Engineer in Germany and contribute to the evolution of our highly successful open-source project and Grafana Cloud. We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in SaaS platforms at scale to help refactor Grafana's architecture for improved simplicity and standardization. You will play a key role in enhancing the operational experience of our systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring safe deployments. Requirements

  • Possess strong coding skills and operational experience; be responsible for operating the software you have built
  • Have worked on a SaaS platform and dealt with common distributed systems problems (e.g., scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, HA, …)
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be willing to work across teams
  • Be pragmatic; prioritize progress over perfection; handle ambiguity
  • Be familiar with Golang or be excited to learn the language

Responsibilities

  • Code new features
  • Enhance the operational experience of the systems you develop
  • Iteratively improve systems based on production insights
  • Author, contribute to, and review design documents
  • Take an active role in shaping the roadmap
  • Mentor and support other team members
  • Collaborate with different teams across the organization
  • Own the experience of our customers by participating in weekday 12h x 5d and a separate weekend 24h x 2d on-call rotations
