Summary
Join Nagarro, a Digital Product Engineering company, as a Legal Counsel. You will have 7+ years of experience and a solid understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and privacy laws (including GDPR). Responsibilities include reviewing and redlining legal documents, providing legal support in contracting processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and collaborating with internal stakeholders. You will identify legal risks, support negotiations, and advise internal teams. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and contribute to improving contract templates and legal processes. A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law is required.
Requirements
- Total experience 7+ years
- Solid understanding of contract law, commercial transactions, and privacy laws (including GDPR)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Hands on working experience in a global IT/technology organization
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law
Responsibilities
- Review and redline legal documents including RFPs, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and other commercial agreements
- Provide legal support in contracting processes with customers, vendors, and partners
- Interpret and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, especially data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate legal negotiations and ensure business objectives are met while minimizing risk
- Support customer negotiations and advise internal teams on legal risks and contractual terms
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, laws, and regulatory changes
- Identify legal and contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies while supporting business objectives
- Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations, particularly GDPR and other global data privacy laws
- Work closely with internal business units such as sales, procurement, finance, and IT to support contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company policies
- Participate in and support legal negotiations with clients, partners, and vendors to finalize agreements efficiently and favourably
- Provide timely and practical legal advice on various commercial and contractual matters to internal teams
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of contract templates, legal processes, and risk management frameworks
- Maintain organized records of contracts, amendments, and related correspondence in accordance with company policy
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in contract law and data privacy to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive
- Support knowledge sharing and training sessions for internal teams on legal best practices and contractual obligations
