Summary
Join our team as a Staff Data Analyst and play a key role in shaping our company's growth. This remote position, reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Analytics, requires collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategic plans, leveraging analytics tools (Snowflake, Tableau, etc.) to generate actionable insights, and presenting findings to executive teams. You will work cross-functionally, ensuring analytics insights inform business planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field, 5+ years of experience in product analytics or a similar role, and expertise in analytics tools. This role offers a chance to influence high-level strategy and contribute to a supportive, remote-first company culture.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role within a technology-driven environment
- Proven experience in strategic planning and advisory roles, with a demonstrated ability to influence product strategy and business outcomes
- Expertise in analytics tools like Snowflake and Tableau
- Experience in conducting A/B testing and running other experimental analytics to validate hypotheses
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for product development in collaboration with senior product managers and other stakeholders
- Strong capability to act as a key advisor, providing insights that directly influence product roadmaps and user experience enhancements
- Demonstrated ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively to executive teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in leading workshops, training sessions, and meetings to facilitate discussions on product strategies
- Ability to effectively act as a liaison between product teams and other departments, ensuring strategic alignment and coherence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex challenges with innovative solutions
- Capability to integrate analytical insights into practical product decisions and planning
- Keen interest in staying updated with the latest industry trends and analytics technologies
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing environments and to take on evolving responsibilities as needed
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and leadership to develop strategic plans for business enhancements and new opportunities
- Act as a key advisor to business by providing insights that influence strategy, prioritization, testing and user experience improvements
- Present findings to executive teams and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner, influencing high-level strategy discussions
- Able to juggle and prioritize multiple workstreams
- Leverages Snowflake, Tableau, Google Spreadsheets, presentations etc. to generate actionable insights and reports that inform business strategies
- Familiarity with data modeling and predictive analytics
- Ability to learn Python for analytics initiatives that may need data science lenses
- Basic familiarity with Github to understand key tables that Engineering creates
- Basic familiarity with Confluence to document workstreams and collaborate with others
- Familiarity with A/B testing and other analytical experiments to validate hypotheses and influence product development strategies
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure we use analytics insights into business planning and decision-making
- Ability to work with data engineering to understand how the architectural backend feeds business facing reports
- Collaborate with the data science team to hand off data for deeper analysis and model building
- Ability to align with stakeholders through regular check ins, meetings and monthly agendas
- Cross pollinate ideas with the analytics, data, engineering and business teams to ensure smooth business strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree is preferred
- Familiarity with data modeling and predictive analytics is a plus
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and techniques is a plus
