You will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders, designing a scalable data platform, building data solutions, and enhancing administrative tooling. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in data platform implementation, use, and management
- 5+ total years experience in engineering or technical operations
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling
- SQL and relational database expert
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques
- Experience with data warehousing solutions like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience with cloud providers and cloud-native technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with version control systems like Git
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to strategies and define data needs
- Design and architect a scalable data platform to meet growing demand
- Build solutions to serve quality data to analysts and engineering leadership
- Enhance administrative tooling including access systems, dashboards, and visualization tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards as they relate to the DoD
- Experience with data analytics and visualization
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts
- Familiarity with big data and distributed systems technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bias towards action with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to proactively investigate and define stakeholder needs and drive solutions
- Design thinking approach to problem-solving and iterative development
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and trends
