Join Bloomreach's Analytics Team as a Staff Software Engineer and play a critical technical leadership role in building scalable data infrastructure and analytics frameworks. You will architect and design complex data processing pipelines, develop high-performance infrastructure, and lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver innovative personalization features. This role requires 8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in data-intensive systems and big data technologies. You will mentor engineers, guide the integration of machine learning models, and champion engineering best practices. Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in data-intensive systems, analytics platforms, or personalization technologies
- 5+ years of experience working with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Kafka, and cloud-native data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or other modern programming languages; deep understanding of distributed systems and software architecture
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines in production environments
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows, including feature engineering and model serving in production
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, drive complex projects across teams, and foster a culture of technical excellence
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and scale complex data processing pipelines and analytics systems to support real-time and batch use cases across search and recommendations
- Develop high-performance, fault-tolerant infrastructure that enables fast, accurate, and actionable insights across large-scale datasets
- Lead cross-functional initiatives by partnering with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver innovative, data-driven personalization features
- Drive the design and evolution of analytics frameworks to measure and optimize customer engagement, search effectiveness, and recommendation relevance
- Guide the integration of machine learning models into production pipelines, ensuring reliable delivery of ML-powered features at scale
- Champion engineering best practices around data quality, monitoring, performance optimization, and platform reliability
- Mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, and influence long-term technical strategy across the team
- Take ownership of project execution, helping teams navigate ambiguity and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery in an agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with analytics frameworks, BI tools, and data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Tableau is a plus
