Summary
Join Derivative Path, an award-winning financial technology firm, as a Staff Engineer. You will bridge our stream-aligned and platform teams, driving platform adoption and establishing engineering standards. Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with experience in both platform and product development
- Strong track record of driving technical standards and best practices across multiple teams
- Experience with developer experience (DX) improvements and measuring engineering productivity
- Excellence in gathering and synthesizing feedback from multiple stakeholders
- Strong data analysis skills for measuring and reporting on platform adoption and success metrics
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate between technical and business needs
- Experience with modern development practices and tooling
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Partnering with stream-aligned teams to understand their platform needs, challenges, and feedback
- Working with platform teams to translate team feedback into platform improvements and new capabilities
- Developing and implementing technical standards across teams, ensuring they're practical and valuable
- Creating and tracking metrics to measure platform adoption, developer productivity, and standards compliance
- Building tools and automation to help teams adopt platform capabilities and follow standards
- Leading technical discovery sessions to understand pain points and opportunities
- Documenting and sharing best practices, success stories, and lessons learned
- Facilitating communication between platform and stream-aligned teams
- Drive measurable improvements in platform adoption and developer productivity
- Create feedback mechanisms that help our platform evolve based on real needs
- Influence technical standards and practices across the engineering organization
- Build strong relationships across teams to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with internal developer platforms and platform engineering
- Background in developer advocacy or developer relations
- Experience with DORA metrics and engineering productivity measurement
- Track record of successful change management in engineering organizations
- Experience with service catalogs and internal platform products
