Staff Engineer

Summary

Join Healthie as a Staff Engineer and lead the development of new products. You will architect and implement new features, focusing on building scalable and reliable systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, Data, and Engineering. This senior technical role involves system design, backend and frontend development, and integration with third-party services. You will mentor engineers and drive innovation, ensuring the platform's scalability, reliability, and usability. This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States, offering a competitive salary.

Requirements

• Have 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Have hands-on expertise in building machine learning models, natural language processing systems, and intelligent automation solutions, with a focus on delivering measurable impact for users
• Have direct experience with our Tech Stack: Rails, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Sidekiq, RSpec, and Capybara
• Have a strong background in software architecture, systems design, and scalable infrastructure, ensuring solutions integrate seamlessly with complex platforms
• Excel at collaborating cross-functionally, leading technical initiatives, and mentoring engineering teams to build high-performing and innovative solutions
• U.S. work authorization is required

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of greenfield features, focusing on building scalable, reliable systems that solve meaningful problems for our customers and their clients
• Collaborate across Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to identify and execute high-impact projects
• Span system design, backend and frontend development, and integration with third-party services, with opportunities to incorporate advanced AI capabilities such as intelligent automation and data-driven insights to enhance user experiences
• Play a key role in shaping the technical direction of Healthie’s platform, mentoring engineers, and driving innovation that positions Healthie as a leader in healthcare technology
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and usability of our platform while aligning with customer needs and business goals
• Translate complex challenges into elegant, impactful solutions
• Foster collaboration across teams to deliver features that empower healthcare providers and drive better patient outcomes
