Join Healthie as a Staff Engineer to spearhead the development of new products. Lead the architecture and implementation of new features, focusing on building scalable and reliable systems. Your work will encompass system design, backend and frontend development, and integration with third-party services. Shape the technical direction of Healthie's platform, mentor engineers, and drive innovation. This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States.

Requirements

• Have 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Have hands-on expertise in building machine learning models, natural language processing systems, and intelligent automation solutions, with a focus on delivering measurable impact for users
• Have direct experience with our Tech Stack: Rails, React, Typescript, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Sidekiq, RSpec, and Capybara
• Have a strong background in software architecture, systems design, and scalable infrastructure, ensuring solutions integrate seamlessly with complex platforms
• Excel at collaborating cross-functionally, leading technical initiatives, and mentoring engineering teams to build high-performing and innovative solutions

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of greenfield features, focusing on building scalable, reliable systems that solve meaningful problems for our customers and their clients
• Collaborate across Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to identify and execute high-impact projects
• Span system design, backend and frontend development, and integration with third-party services, with opportunities to incorporate advanced AI capabilities such as intelligent automation and data-driven insights to enhance user experiences
• Play a key role in shaping the technical direction of Healthie’s platform, mentoring engineers, and driving innovation that positions Healthie as a leader in healthcare technology
• Balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and usability of our platform while aligning with customer needs and business goals
• Bring technical excellence and a customer-first mindset, translating complex challenges into elegant, impactful solutions
• Foster collaboration across teams to deliver features that empower healthcare providers and drive better patient outcomes
