Summary
Join PadSplit as a Staff Frontend Engineer and lead the creation of scalable and user-friendly interfaces for our growing platform. You will play a key role in ensuring our digital platform remains intuitive and accessible, aligning with our mission to transform affordable housing. As a technical leader, you will make architectural decisions, set coding standards, and mentor team members. You will collaborate with product managers and designers, optimize performance, and architect solutions for complex technical challenges. Your passion for using technology for social impact and your expertise in modern frontend frameworks like React are essential. This fully remote position offers competitive compensation and benefits.
Requirements
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend technologies
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical challenges effectively
- Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
- A strong eye for design and commitment to building inclusive experiences
- Knowledge of optimizing applications for speed and efficiency
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders
- Experience working in high-growth, iterative development environments
- Genuine interest in leveraging technology to drive social impact

- Openness to learning new technologies and adjusting to changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decisions and set coding standards for the frontend team
- Write and review high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code
- Partner with product managers and designers to align technical solutions with business needs
- Support engineers by providing guidance, code reviews, and learning opportunities
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the user interface
- Architect and implement solutions for complex technical challenges in the frontend ecosystem
- Create and improve development tools to streamline workflows and deployments
- Ensure the delivery of intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces
