Summary

Join Steer's newly formed team as a Staff Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deploy robust web applications for its CRM platform. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Steer's growing platform by working across the stack, bringing new ideas to life, and building scalable, reusable components. This 100% remote (U.S.-based) position requires 5+ years of experience in professional web-based SaaS development and expertise in various technologies. You will be responsible for technical leadership, code quality, system design, full-stack problem-solving, and DevOps contributions. Requirements

  • 5+ years in professional web-based SaaS development
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and n-tier web applications
  • Proven experience with at least one major back-end framework (e.g., C#/.Net, Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask, Ruby on Rails)
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services
  • Proficiency with a modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable architecture
  • Experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate and mentor effectively

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership – Define and drive frontend architectural vision and strategy for Steer’s products
  • Code Quality & Standards – Champion best practices in code quality, automated testing (unit, integration, E2E), security, and maintainability. Conduct thorough code reviews and provide actionable feedback
  • System Design – Build scalable, reusable components and libraries that connect our design system to customer-facing experiences
  • Full-Stack Problem Solving – Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the stack in a fast-paced production environment
  • DevOps Contribution – Work with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) to enable seamless deployments
  • Ownership Mindset – Take full responsibility for what you build—end to end

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Prior leadership or mentorship experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes
