Staff Full-Stack Engineer

Summary

Join Tomorrow Health's Engineering team as a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer, focusing on backend development and contributing to high-impact projects. Requirements

• You have 8+ years of experience building customer-facing software, with deep backend expertise in Python and Django
• You are proficient in designing APIs (REST/GraphQL), managing relational databases (Postgres), and deploying to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• You are familiar with frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, NodeJS), and are comfortable working across the stack when needed
• You are a natural technical leader with a bias toward action and a strong sense of ownership
• You are experienced in mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
• You are a clear communicator who brings clarity, reduces ambiguity, and drives alignment
• You are comfortable working in a startup environment with several dynamic and concurrent projects
• You set the bar high, and improve the work of those around you through mentorship and feedback. You strive for excellence and know that there is always room to do better

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and influence architectural decisions for new and evolving parts of our platform
• Transform product strategy into technical strategy by leading the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects
• Partner closely with cross-functional team members as a technical owner of key business goals
• Work across the stack to build scalable APIs and performant services
• Build and improve internal tooling and drive best practices to support observability, monitoring, and delivery speed
• Mentor teammates and promote simplicity in solving complex problems across our products and teams as we scale
