Summary

Join Octave, a modern behavioral health practice, as a Staff II Accountant to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable processes, assisting with year-end 1099s, monthly financial close, and various financial audits. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneur-minded team player with strong analytical and communication skills. Experience with accounting software is preferred but not required. Responsibilities

  • Enter and code Accounts Payable invoices and help ensure all vendors are paid on a timely and accurate basis; following up on internal approvals as needed
  • Assist with the timely and accurate payments to independent contractors as well as related follow up communications
  • Assist with the processing and communications regarding year-end 1099’s
  • Assist with the timely and accurate Accounts Receivable invoicing to various clients
  • Assist with various client reporting requirements as it relates to accounts payables and receivables
  • Contribute to the monthly financial close by preparing journal entries, and performing monthly account reconciliations
  • Assist in reconciling cash receipts from payers (insurance companies) against Accounts Receivable and patient visit reports
  • Assist in the production of accurate monthly financial statements for multiple operating entities and producing consolidated financial
  • Assist with various financial audit and tax compliance requests
  • Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years accounting experience
  • Demonstrated high level Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-starter who regularly takes initiative and can juggle multiple projects
  • Prior experience with the following would be an asset but not essential: Bill.com, Ramp, Wingspan, NetSuite, Zendesk
