Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Summary

Join Pinterest and be responsible for developing cutting-edge applied machine learning products within high-performance, scalable ML systems. You will identify opportunities to enhance and optimize creative performance, developing and optimizing machine learning models leveraging user engagement signals to improve ad creative visuals and content. Collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams is crucial, as is leading the full product lifecycle from conception to implementation. You will demonstrate tech leadership, developing ML best practices and influencing team culture. This role allows for telecommuting, with some travel to the San Francisco office potentially required. Requirements

• Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field
• Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering (any field) or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the development of cutting edge applied machine learning products within high-performance, scalable ML systems
• Identify opportunities from existing systems and design innovative solutions to enhance and optimize creative performance
• Develop and optimize the Machine Learning models that leverage user engagement signals to enhance ad creative visual and content
• Work closely with XFN engineering teams to drive large efforts across different systems
• Be an owner and lead the full cycle of product, collaborating closely with product and sales teams to align requirements and drive new products from conception to design and implementation
• Demonstrate tech leadership to develop ML best practices and influence team culture
