Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, preferably within UX-focused B2B SaaS organizations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on delivering impactful and discovery-driven design solutions for ambiguous projects in a high velocity organization
  • A robust portfolio showcasing your design expertise, user-centered approach, and problem-solving skills, preferably in B2B SaaS (please include your portfolio password if applicable)
  • Demonstrated functional leadership (not people leadership) experience, including mentoring designers and leading complex design projects from conception to implementation
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar, with experience in prototyping and usability testing methods
  • Deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles, especially as applied to complex business workflows
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to present and articulate design concepts to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the design of highly complex, high-visibility, and ambiguous projects, from discovery to delivery, ensuring design solutions drive measurable business impact and customer satisfaction
  • Iterate on user-centered designs that address complex business workflows and meet both user requirements and business objectives
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that demonstrate intuitive, engaging, and user-friendly interactions, optimized for enterprise-scale
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to align product and design strategy with overall company goals, business priorities, and market opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to executives, providing insights into design tradeoffs, customer needs, and competitive positioning to influence the broader product roadmap
  • Coach and mentor other designers to up-level the craft and delivery of product design at Fountain
  • Lead the continuous improvement and maintenance of comprehensive design systems and standards to ensure consistency and scalability across all products
  • Champion design best practices, accessibility, and usability across teams, fostering an environment of shared design principles
  • Continuously explore and integrate industry trends, new technologies, and cutting-edge design tools to advance the team’s design capabilities
