Staff Product Designer

Summary

The job is for a Staff Product Designer at Shippo, a company providing shipping solutions. The role involves creating efficient product experiences for various types of shippers and marketplaces, working cross-functionally with teams, and owning the customer research strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience designing on high transaction volume workflow tools
• Experience influencing PMs and engineers, earning trust, evangelizing design, educating your partners on the UX process, and advocating for users
• Demonstrable experience with user-centered design methodology
• 3+ years of experience working in fast-paced environments, building and scaling SaaS products

Responsibilities

• Own and drive Shippo’s customer research strategy
• Translate customer insights into creative and pragmatic design decisions
• Strategically balance the needs of various stakeholders in the shipping industry
• Partner with product management, engineering, and product marketing teams
• Cultivate a creative design process built on inclusion and cross-functional collaboration
• Create compelling end-to-end solutions that attract new customers while mitigating change aversion for existing high-volume shippers

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in or with e-commerce companies
• Experience working on logistics, fulfillment & e-commerce shipping products and services
