Summary
Join Wealthsimple's Managed Investing team as a Staff Product Manager and play a key role in developing and executing the strategy to make it Canada's leading investment platform. You will partner with design and engineering, understand client needs, develop prototypes, ship products, analyze data, and iterate on features. This role requires setting a product vision, overseeing planning and development, owning the end-to-end product development process, and collaborating with various teams. You will also conduct customer research, own key business outcomes, and communicate progress to leadership. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in product development, a strong understanding of technical considerations, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- 10+ year track record of building and shipping products that customers love
- Experiencing owning a major project or domain, setting an inspiring product vision, and executing on a well-defined strategy to deliver results
- Experience as an individual contributor leading large, complex, cross-functional projects and managing multiple dependencies
- A shipping mentality - a proven track record of making trade-offs in scope to deliver impact, test hypothesis and establish strong client feedback loops quickly
- Experience leading qualitative and quantitative research, including large-scale client research, to uncover insights and shape the direction of product roadmaps
- Strong bias to action and the ability to set the tone for stakeholders to deliver impact in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to bring structure to ambiguity, simplify complex problems, and communicate insights and perspectives effectively, verbally and in writing
- Technical know-how to talk with engineers about architecture and technical considerations and a strong understanding of how design, product and engineering can work together to ship high-quality experiences quickly and at scale
- Experience owning key business outcomes and reporting to executive leadership

Responsibilities
- Set an ambitious product vision for one of Wealthsimple’s largest product domains
- Oversee the planning, development, and launch of new product experiences that drive the evolution of Managed into Canada’s leading investment platform
- Own the end-to-end product development process - from conception, planning, and prioritization, through development and launch
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and stakeholders across the business, continuously raising the bar on quality, performance, and ambition
- Go deep with your technical counterparts to understand problems and dependencies and help guide the team to efficient and timely solutions to achieve your product vision
- Break down complex problems and ambitious deliverables into discrete phases that deliver value to clients and the business incrementally
- Talk directly to customers and plan and execute primary research to uncover problems, identify unmet needs, and validate potential solutions
- Own key business outcomes and effectively communicate progress and results to R+D leadership
- Help elevate the Product Management practice at Wealthsimple and create an inclusive and supportive team culture
