Summary
Join Databricks' Security Continuous Monitoring team as an individual contributor, reporting to the Director of Continuous Monitoring. This role, based anywhere in the US, involves building and scaling Databricks Security systems. You will design, test, and implement data pipelines to assess security configurations across various environments. You'll also design and deploy security tools, integrate with third-party applications, and interact with cloud APIs. The position requires significant experience in software engineering and security, along with expertise in cloud environments and data correlation. Leadership skills and a bias for action are highly valued.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 6+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems with a focus on reliability and observability
- Experience with Python, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD automation, and Terraform
- Expertise in securing at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with software security and systems that handle sensitive data
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and present complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Build and scale Databricks Security systems built on top of the Databricks platform
- Design, test, and implement data pipelines to assess security configurations of Cloud, SaaS and on-premise tooling
- Design and deploy robust supporting security tools for managing and assessing security state
- Integrate with third-party applications
- Interact with cloud APIs (AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform)
- Plan and lead, end-to-end, projects supporting data collection and integration with vulnerability and threat detection efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years specifically in security-related engineering
- FedRAMP Moderate/High experience
- Experience with data correlation engine
- A leadership mindset with the ability to mentor peers, drive strategic initiatives, and influence the organization’s security direction
- Bias to action and passion for delivering high-quality solutions

- $178,200 — $273,200 USD (Zone 1 Pay Range)
- $160,300 — $245,800 USD (Zone 2 Pay Range)
- $151,400 — $232,200 USD (Zone 3 Pay Range)
- $142,500 — $218,500 USD (Zone 4 Pay Range)
