Summary

Join Apaleo, a company revolutionizing hospitality tech with its API-first property management platform, and become a Staff Software Engineer .NET. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in backend engineering, including at least a few years of technical leadership
  • Expert-level knowledge of C# (.NET) development and solid experience with PostgreSQL (or strong SQL proficiency)
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure , preferably AWS (or other major cloud platforms)
  • Strong background in designing and building distributed systems and scalable architectures
  • A practical, balanced mindset: you care deeply about quality but know when it's time to ship
  • Clear, concise communication skills—able to collaborate cross-functionally and explain complex ideas in simple terms
  • A proactive attitude: you don’t wait for permission to improve things
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform), and containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

  • Designing scalable, reliable systems with a clear focus on maintainability and long-term sustainability
  • Driving architectural decisions , collaborating across teams to ensure solid system design and technical consistency
  • Guiding and mentoring other engineers by working through them and prioritizing team success over individual delivery
  • Proactively identifying technical improvements , system optimizations, and architectural opportunities—without waiting for someone to ask
  • Supporting engineering teams with self-service infrastructure and automation (AWS, Terraform)
  • Ensuring platform reliability through best practices in monitoring, logging, and operational excellence
  • Participating in on-call rotations and supporting the team in resolving production issues with a calm, collaborative approach

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka is a plus, not a must)
