Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Staff Software Engineer to drive the development of cybersecurity products in a fast-paced remote environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in full-stack development
• Strong system design fundamentals and experience building scalable systems
• Knowledge and use of common data structures and algorithms to solve problems
• Proficiency in a range of programming languages and frameworks, particularly in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, or Go, and a willingness to learn new languages as needed
• Experience working with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)

Responsibilities

• Deliver on business-critical outcomes through product contributions to our cybersecurity platform
• Define and build world-class user experiences that delight all of our Blackpoint customers and own those experiences end-to-end
• Lead and drive projects that span our stack, including endpoint agents written in GO, Node.js services hosted in Kubernetes and a UI written in Typescript and React
• Leverage deep understanding of design and architecture, along with best practices in design patterns to optimize for performance, scale, and resiliency
• Excel as a team player by recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives and managing expectations and needs across numerous cross-functional groups
