Summary

Join Headspace as a Staff Software Engineer, Web and contribute to the development of our Care Hub, an in-house Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. You will lead projects, architect systems, and code in our Typescript/React web application. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality standards. Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large teams and delivering complex projects across product and technology initiatives
  • Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js, with proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Strong technical communication skills, written and verbal and a positive mindset to identify, collaborate and drive solutions
  • Deep understanding of state management libraries, such as Redux
  • Exposure to API Development, in Node.js, Django, Java or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to make tough and sound technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offs, paired with strong documentation skills
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, using frameworks such as Playwright or similar
  • Exposure to alerting, logging and monitoring frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation, collaborating closely with product, design, and data engineering stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities
  • Drive the evolution of overall system architecture and quality of our care platform
  • Collaborate seamlessly with engineering and cross-functional partners to define, design, ship, and monitor new features while ensuring robust testing and quality standards. Effectively communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and keep stakeholders informed and aligned
  • Apply your passion for user experience and technical expertise to design and build high impact user workflows
  • Set the standard for quality and technical excellence through code and design reviews, while improving engineering processes and procedures
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth through open and constructive feedback
