Staff Software Engineer

Summary

You will lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale product initiatives, driving technical strategy and architectural decisions. This remote position requires 10+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Java and a deep understanding of web fundamentals and cloud platforms. Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering impactful projects
• Expertise in Java (mandatory) and the ability to learn and adapt to our tech stack
• Advanced understanding of web fundamentals (JavaScript/HTML/CSS) and significant experience with modern front-end frameworks (e. g., React, VueJS, Svelte, Angular, etc. )
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and experience building scalable distributed systems
• Proficiency in database design and optimization, both relational and non-relational
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a mindset geared toward innovation and efficiency
• Strong leadership abilities and experience guiding cross-functional teams towards shared objectives
• A passion for data-driven decision-making and the ability to utilize metrics to influence technical and product decisions
• Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects from ideation to completion while ensuring high quality and timely delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of large-scale, complex product initiatives
• Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions to scale our platform and improve resilience, performance, and security
• Partner closely with product, design, and leadership teams to align engineering efforts with business goals, ensuring customer delight and measurable success
• Mentor and inspire engineers across the team, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation
• Spearhead efforts to implement engineering best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and efficient code review processes
• Identify and solve high-impact technical challenges while influencing engineering and product direction
• Continuously explore and advocate for new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance development efficiency and product quality
