Join our team as a Staff Platform Engineer and contribute to the development and optimization of our engineering processes. You will design, build, and maintain core backend platform components, internal APIs, and services. This role requires at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, and hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes. Requirements
- At least 10 years of proven work experience in roles like Senior/Staff Engineer or Architect
- Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, with deep knowledge of backend architecture, performance optimization, and debugging
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Observability), beyond mere usage β proven ability to build and manage infrastructure
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and patterns
- Knowledge of design principles and development practices
- Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain core backend platform components, internal APIs, and services that empower engineering teams
- Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
- Optimize developer experience by building backend solutions that simplify workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce friction for engineers
- Improve existing codebases by identifying technical debt, proposing architectural improvements, and driving best practices
- Work with other platform teams to ensure seamless integrations between developer tools, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineers across teams through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and testing
- Contribute to the organization's engineering culture by mentoring, setting high coding standards, and advocating for best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a Platform or Developer Enablement team
- Experience with continuous integration systems
- Proven track record in building infrastructure
- Experience with PHP
