Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join Qonto's Engineering Efficiency team and improve the developer experience, enabling the Tech team to deliver high-quality products rapidly. As a Software Engineer, you will positively impact hundreds of engineers' daily work, support the growing Tech team by sharing knowledge, break down silos, and empower engineers with self-service approaches. You will sharpen your understanding of developer experience by engaging with over 350 engineers globally and immerse yourself in a culture of continuous learning. The team owns the entire delivery chain, from problem identification to impact measurement, using user feedback and metrics aligned with company OKRs. The role offers remote work flexibility within specified European countries.

Requirements

• Experience: You have 3+ years of experience in Tech. You understand the fundamentals of cloud infrastructure and software engineering
• Autonomy : You can organize your work and communicate effectively within a full-remote team. You proactively seek the information you need and know when to ask for help
• Engineering: You are a software engineer at heart, and you take pride in writing well-designed, robust, and maintainable code to solve problems
• Team player: You have great communication skills. You can interact confidently with our highly skilled, multicultural Tech team of 350 engineers spanning web, mobile, backend, data, and security engineers
• Languages: You are fluent in English. French is a plus

Responsibilities

• Have a positive impact on hundreds of engineers’ daily work by iterating on topics identified based on their feedback and setting up metrics to monitor our impact in the long run
• Support the ever-growing Qonto's Tech team by sharing your knowledge and experiences through PR reviews, pair programming sessions, internal talks, and technical workshops
• Break silos and empower engineers with self-service approaches, as engineer’s autonomy is one of our top priorities
• Sharpen your vision of what makes a great developer’s experience by regularly engaging with over 350 highly-skilled engineers from all over the world
• Be immersed in a culture and practice of continuous learning where we accelerate learning by identifying and acting upon our misconceptions, we call this the Qonto Way
