Staff Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Staff Engineer position at Rula's Patient Experience team within the Engineering Team. The role involves shaping the patient experience and working across all of Rula's stack as they transition to a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Requirements

• 8+ year of software engineering experience
• Experience working on cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical groups
• Fullstack experience building modern database-backed (sql/no-sql) web applications
• Experience with microservice development
• Experience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns
• Experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, specing, execution, and measuring success, post-launch maintenance
• Experience working on highly complex projects with a focus on achieving sustainable results

Responsibilities

Shape the patient experience and help them manage their care and interact with their therapists

Preferred Qualifications

• Start-up experience
• Experience developing SaaS applications using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
• Previous experience in products with high reliability/accuracy requirements (finance, mission critical systems, etc.)
• Experience with ‘on-call’, ability to deep dive complex issues and drive them to resolution independently
• Experience with NodeJs, Typescript, Kafka
