Staff Software Engineer - Backend AI Agents

Join HubSpot's AI Agents Group as a Staff Software Engineer and contribute to the development of a high-impact Generative AI platform. You will work across AI Agents and Generative AI Platform teams, building a reliable, easy-to-use, and scalable framework. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead by example, mentor other engineers, and provide strategic direction for major projects. The role requires extensive experience in software engineering, a strong understanding of Generative AI concepts, and a proven track record of delivering high-value projects. Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with Generative AI applications (such as LLMs, Agents, Image Generation, Langchain, etc.) and experience working as part of a platform team
• Have experience developing AI Agents and/or Generative AI infrastructure
• Have an understanding of machine learning concepts behind Generative AI (such as Transformer architecture, model training/serving considerations, data preprocessing (tokenization), etc.)

• Cash compensation range: 218900-328400 USD Annually
• Base salary
