Requirements
- 4-8 yearsβ experience of Storage QA testing with SSDs, firmware and storage subsystems
- Excellent knowledge of Storage Servers, Storage Arrays β JBOD, JBOFs, NAS, SAN
- In-depth knowledge of python
- In-depth knowledge test design and methodologies
- In-depth proficiency in python
- In-depth knowledge multi-threaded programming
- In-depth knowledge failure analysis skills
- Understand Hardware and Software interaction
- Solid working knowledge of operating systems: Windows / Linux including trouble shooting issues/problems with those systems
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and Self-driven
- Motivated to investigate and learn
Responsibilities
- Enterprise product validation/Automation for Western Digital SAS/SATA/NVMe/NVMeoF storage platforms
- Interact with engineers across the company and coordinate testing activities
- Work with firmware and software development teams to test firmware functionality
- Design, develop, execute, and analyze automated test scripts written in python
- Create and implement system level test plans for JBODs, JBOFs and other storage systems
- Analyze test results and telemetry data to detect issues
- Assist in failure analysis to ensure high firmware reliability
- Automate storage products using python, selenium and dev-ops tools
- Deliver a quality product by performing all the necessary QA Automation job functions
- Debug firmware and hardware issues with SSD/HDD, storage products using systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products
- Produce deliverables by developing, modifying, and executing software test plans
- Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems
- Troubleshoot/isolate issues to root cause, down to the right component in the test ecosystem
- Install and configure various hardware and software components
- Perform bug verification and drive issues to resolution
- Write Python scripts for automated tests
- Work with cross functional teams like performance, marketing teams, etc
- Assist in customer escalations
- Understand Software development Life Cycle
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of OOPS and design patterns
- Working knowledge of Selenium and devops tool
- Working knowledge of SAS, SCSI, PCIe protocols
- Working knowledge on SSD and debugging skills
- Working knowledge on SAS/PCIe analyzers
- White box testing knowledge
