Requirements

  • 6+ years in growth, strategy, or operations roles in a consumer platform or marketplace business
  • Experience diagnosing and solving underperformance problems in existing markets with an emphasis on supply and demand imbalances
  • Strong intuition for local nuance, with the ability to differentiate between a suburb and its city core, and act on those insights
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional strategies that blend data, research and experimentation

  • Conduct user and market research to understand suburban barriers and unlock targeted messaging, category focus and engagement tactics
  • Pilot grassroots awareness channels like Facebook groups, local PR, NextDoor, universities and neighborhood communities
  • Collaborate with Marketing to merchandise suburb-appropriate categories and adapt SEM strategies to improve CPJs in zips with strong LTV
  • Work with Analytics and TSMs to close the invoice ratio gaps to within +/- 1ppt of metro cores
  • Reassess and redefine suburban groupings, recognizing that one size does not fit all (Fairfield ≠ New Haven and Hamptons ≠ Manhattan)
