Summary
Join Taskrabbit as a Lead of Suburban Growth and spearhead the expansion into suburban markets. You will develop and implement strategies to boost revenue in these areas, conducting research to understand local needs and preferences. The role involves creating suburb-specific go-to-market strategies, piloting grassroots awareness campaigns, and collaborating with marketing and analytics teams. You will analyze data, conduct experiments, and adapt strategies to improve performance. This remote-first position requires 6+ years of experience in growth, strategy, or operations within a consumer platform or marketplace. Starting September 2025, the role will require working two days a week in the New York City office.
Requirements
- 6+ years in growth, strategy, or operations roles in a consumer platform or marketplace business
- Experience diagnosing and solving underperformance problems in existing markets with an emphasis on supply and demand imbalances
- Strong intuition for local nuance, with the ability to differentiate between a suburb and its city core, and act on those insights
- Proven ability to build cross-functional strategies that blend data, research and experimentation
- Skilled at balancing analytical rigor with a scrappy execution mindset across new and traditional channels
- A bias for action and a drive to make underperforming markets suburbs and edges โwork.โ
- Experience using Sigma, Looker, or similar BI tools
Responsibilities
- Identify high-potential suburban pockets within Cornerstone and Momentum metros and deploy myriad strategies to increase revenue in these areas
- Build suburb-specific GTM strategies that account for unique behaviors, needs and intent across submetro cohort types (Outer Core, Suburb, Edges)
- Conduct user and market research to understand suburban barriers and unlock targeted messaging, category focus and engagement tactics
- Pilot grassroots awareness channels like Facebook groups, local PR, NextDoor, universities and neighborhood communities
- Collaborate with Marketing to merchandise suburb-appropriate categories and adapt SEM strategies to improve CPJs in zips with strong LTV
- Work with Analytics and TSMs to close the invoice ratio gaps to within +/- 1ppt of metro cores
- Reassess and redefine suburban groupings, recognizing that one size does not fit all (Fairfield โ New Haven and Hamptons โ Manhattan)
