Supervising Psychiatrist

Summary

Join Ascend Healthcare as a Virtual Supervising Psychiatrist, providing remote supervisory oversight to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in an outpatient clinic setting. You will ensure quality of care and adherence to treatment protocols and regulations for patients of all ages. This fully remote contract position requires a minimum of 12 hours per month at a rate of $250/hour. Key responsibilities include case reviews and monthly team meetings. Requirements

• Possess an active, unrestricted MD or DO license in good standing
• Be board-certified
• Have the ability to provide supervision remotely
• Prolonged Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods during working hours
• Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
• Visual Requirements: Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence
• Hearing: Sufficient hearing ability for participating in phone calls or virtual meetings
• Work Environment: Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions with reliable internet connectivity

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory oversight for nurse practitioners and physician assistants, ensuring quality of care and adherence to established treatment protocols and state regulations for children, adolescents, and adult patients
• Be available for case reviews as necessary
• Be available to meet with the team once per month
