Associate Therapist

Summary

Join Cerebral as an Associate Therapist and contribute to our mission of democratizing access to high-quality mental health care. This 1099 independent contractor role offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to see clients during hours that suit you. You will conduct therapeutic sessions, collaborate with prescribers, and work with a supportive team of clinicians. The position requires a Master's degree, relevant experience, and specific licenses (Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas). Cerebral offers reimbursed clinical supervision, access to innovative technology, and opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

• Associate Therapist or pre-licensed Therapist with at least 6 months experience in this capacity, working towards independent licensure in the United States
• Any of the following license structures will apply: ASW, LMSW, LGSW, CSW, ALC, LAC, APC, LPCA, APCC, or AMFT
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or equivalent
• You have worked collaboratively with doctors who are managing your clients' medication for anxiety and depression, in tandem to the therapy you’re providing
• Experience in diagnosing mental health disorders in accordance with the DSM-5 criteria
• Maintain a strong evidence-based clinical skill set while practicing & implementing outcome-focused care
• Empathetic and intuitive listening
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Knowledgeable in crisis response
• Comfortable working autonomously in a telemedicine environment
• Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate various systems & tools with ease (this includes, but is not limited to Google Workspace, proprietary EMR, etc.)
• Passionate about our mission of improving access to high-quality mental health care
• Current state licensing requirements include Illinois, Pennsylvania, and/or Texas

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutically sound sessions with clients weekly or bi-weekly for 45 minutes (cadence dependent on the client's plan)
• Provide 15+ hours of weekly availability
• Create your own flexible schedule based on your individual availability! Scheduled time must fall within the hours of 6:00am to 11:30pm per your specific timezone
• Work collaboratively with prescribers who are managing your clients' medication, in tandem with therapy services you are providing
• Work alongside other like-minded clinicians that have a common goal to positively impact the lives of others, and create an environment that leads to favorable outcomes for clients

Preferred Qualifications

An entrepreneurial spirit or previous experience within a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred
