System Architect

Summary

Join ARHS Group, a subsidiary of Accenture, as a System Architect – Cloudian S3 Storage to contribute to a crucial project for a European Institution. You will be responsible for designing and supporting secure, scalable Cloudian S3-compatible storage solutions in collaboration with cloud and DevOps teams. This role involves architecting and designing Cloudian S3 storage solutions in cloud and hybrid environments, managing Cloudian S3 storage clusters, designing recovery and disaster recovery strategies, monitoring storage performance and capacity, ensuring optimal load distribution, guaranteeing compliance with security standards, integrating S3 object storage with various applications, developing automation scripts, troubleshooting storage issues, and creating documentation. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely for most of your scheduled hours.

Requirements

• EU citizenship
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• 10 years of experience in storage engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role with a focus on S3 and object storage systems
• HyperBalance : Experience with HyperBalance for efficient load distribution across nodes in object storage environments
• HyperIQ : Expertise in using HyperIQ for monitoring, analytics, and improving overall system reliability through AI-driven insights
• Cloud Platforms : Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly using S3 APIs or similar object storage services
• Storage Protocols & Tools : Knowledge of object storage protocols and tools (e.g., AWS S3, NFS, CIFS, and REST APIs)
• Disaster Recovery : Proficiency in designing and implementing backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies using S3-compatible storage
• Automation : Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell for storage management and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
• Security & Compliance : Understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms to ensure secure storage environments
• Monitoring Tools : Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for performance management, capacity planning, and uptime (e.g., HyperIQ, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios)
• Troubleshooting Skills : Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of object storage operations, network connectivity, and performance tuning
• Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design and Deploy : Architect and design Cloudian S3 storage solutions in cloud and hybrid environments to meet business and application requirements
• Storage Management : Manage Cloudian S3 storage clusters, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficient storage usage
• Backup and Recovery : Design recovery and disaster recovery strategies using S3-compatible object storage systems
• Monitoring & Optimization : Proactively monitor storage performance, capacity, using HyperIQ for AI-powered analytics and insights
• HyperBalance : Ensure optimal load distribution across storage nodes, maximizing performance and reducing bottlenecks
• Security & Compliance : Ensure that storage solutions comply with security standards, encryption protocols, and relevant data privacy
• Integration s: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate S3 object storage with various enterprise applications, databases, and cloud-native tools
• Automation : Develop and implement automation scripts to manage storage lifecycles, backups, and provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible
• Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to storage performance, data loss, access, and security
• Documentation : Create and maintain documentation for storage architecture, policies, configurations, and disaster recovery plans
• Collaboration : Collaborate with DevOps, Network, and Cloud teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe certification (SAFe Architect, SAFe Agilist, or similar)
• Experience in managing Agile teams and familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly in the context of SAFe
• Demonstrated experience with Cloudian HyperStore, HyperBalance, HyperIQ, or similar distributed storage platforms
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud storage setups (integrating on-prem and cloud storage solutions)
• Experience with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes (using object storage with Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with data migration and replication strategies for large-scale storage environments
