Summary

Join Western Digital and lead the development of next-generation SoC solutions for SSDs. Requirements

  • M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of experience in an engineering development environment
  • Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience
  • Proven expertise in SSD design, hardware design, ASIC Design
  • Strong experience in system design and architecture for SSD products
  • Demonstrated ability to architect and design next-generation SoC solutions, including evaluating trade-offs in performance, power, and area
  • Hands-on experience in hardware design involving components such as NVMe, DDR, power supplies, and other SSD-specific hardware
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Strong multitasking abilities and adaptability to dynamic environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of next-generation SoC solutions
  • Troubleshoot complex issues
  • Analyze emerging technologies
  • Make critical design decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Firmware and/or ASIC design
  • In-depth knowledge of SoC architecture and next-generation design principles
  • Advanced understanding of PCIe standards and processor architectures like ARM/ARC
  • Expert-level skills with PCIe protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and related lab equipment
  • Proven ability to write/debug firmware in C/C++ and Python
  • Expertise in hardware design for SSD systems, including board-level and system-level integration
