Systems Engineer Intern

Summary

Join our team at Skyryse as an Engineering Intern on our Systems Engineering Team and contribute to the development of certifiable flight automation technologies for the new Urban Commercial Aviation industry. This is a full-time internship based in El Segundo, running for 12 weeks starting in May/June.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing your BS, MS in an engineering discipline (Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering)
• Graduating between December 2025 & June 2026
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink

Responsibilities

• Assist with defining system requirements
• Performing system integration
• Developing system test cases and procedures
• Reviewing test reports and artifacts
• Coordinate the architecture and development of the systems/subsystems for a certifiable autonomous flight control system
• Perform system integration, verification and validation, and analysis of total systems
• Develop detailed system design including defining system and state logic, as well as designing safety monitors and algorithms
• Support documentation for design, analysis, and specifications
• Work with the multifunctional teams to implement the architecture strategy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD Student studying Systems, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Prior internship experience in aviation a bonus
