Systems Engineer Intern

Summary

Join Visa's Technology organization as a Systems Engineer intern and take on meaningful work, engage in out-of-the-box problem solving, and participate in global case challenges and impactful initiatives.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field, graduating December 2025 or later
• Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications, and communications that demonstrate professional judgment

Responsibilities

• Create and test implementation scripts for vendor's field engineers and support team for installation and activation
• Perform remote system installation with on-site vendor engineer support, configuration and lockdown of Visa Endpoint servers
• Communicate and work in a global distributed team
• Maintain and manage SharePoint lists and workflow to improve process and efficiency
• Identify a pattern in existing historic data and suggest improvements
• Collaborate with the team to transform data to help make business decisions and build insights
• Employ creative methods for problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, python, perl, shell scripting, etc
• Basic knowledge of Visual Basics for Application (VBA)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiar with data visualizing tools like Excel, MS Power BI, Tableau, QLik, etc
• Showcase hands-on data handling to leverage new technologies to help drive critical business decisions
• SQL query skills or familiarity with RDBMS would be a plus
