Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering work experience
- 3+ years of experience in people management leading Systems or Infrastructure teams of 8+ engineers, including hands-on technical management building backend services
- Expertise in AWS and Kubernetes is essential, along with the ability to mentor, delegate, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- You are strong in balancing priorities and making thoughtful decisions to meet immediate technical needs
- You have a proven track record of shipping quality products on time
- A customer-centric mindset and will apply that to building out platform services
- You are highly organized and thrive in fast-paced environments with a structured approach to team operations
Responsibilities
- Lead a talented team of (5+) systems and security engineers
- Drive meaningful, transformative work in the K-12 education space
- Shape Kiddomβs backend systems to scale seamlessly and securely
- Work with modern technologies, including Golang, Node.js, JS, Kubernetes, and AWS, while solving challenging technical problems that directly impact educators, administrators, and students
- Motivate and inspire change across the entire engineering organization as we adapt to new technologies and AI capabilities that make us and our users more efficient
- Participate in architecture and product discussions with engineers, contributing to informed decisions
- Provide objective feedback, supporting individual and team growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideally experience with: (Golang, Python, Node.js , JS)
