The job is for a Tax Associate with 5 years of experience in US corporate taxes to join Farfetch's US corporate tax team in Porto, Portugal. The role involves preparing and reviewing income tax provisions, managing tax compliance, and supporting tax-related projects.

Requirements

Degree in Tax or Business
At least 5 years of experience in the tax area with proven experience as an analyst for US corporate taxes
Solid knowledge of US tax legislation
Experience with calculating taxes and ancillary obligations
Proficiency in tax compliance and accounting software (Dynamics 365 and SAP)
Strong level of English

Responsibilities

Assist in facilitating and managing the preparation of US and Canada corporate income tax returns along with quarterly estimates and extension calculations
Prepare and review income tax provisions under both IFRS and US GAAP for US entities and provide reporting packages
Assist in managing the preparation and review of non-income tax returns (commercial rent, property, etc.)
Maintain the tax calendar to ensure all tax reporting and compliance requirements are completed accurately and in advance of established due dates
Implement periodic state tax nexus studies in order to determine new state-filing jurisdictions
Support tax examinations by providing timely documentation and submission of packages
Assist in the evaluation of proposed and enacted laws as well as research and analyze the impact of new tax legislation on the business
Work extensively with areas of Finance and Business (Product, Legal, Technology, Service Excellence) to support tax-related projects
