Requirements

Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations

Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work effectively within a team
CPA certification or LLB in Taxation is a plus
1-3 years of experience in tax law, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on complex tax issues and prepare comprehensive memoranda
Assist in drafting tax opinions, legal documents, and client correspondence
Support senior attorneys in tax planning and structuring for corporate transactions
Help prepare tax-related documents for mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations
Analyze and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings
Assist in representing clients in tax controversies and disputes with tax authorities
Contribute to the preparation of client presentations and proposals
Stay current with changes in tax legislation and case law
Participate in client meetings and conference calls as needed
Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships
