Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Manager, leading teams in tax-related projects is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file complex tax returns with a focus on real estate development entities
• Develop and train employees on best practices in tax return preparation and work paper review, with an emphasis on real estate tax implications
• Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, particularly those related to real estate transactions and developments
• Conduct tax research, with a focus on staying current with changes in real estate tax law and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in taxation or a related field is a plus
• Strong knowledge of real estate-specific tax issues, including depreciation, 1031 exchanges, and real estate investment trusts (REITs)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, especially in managing complex tax structures related to real estate
