Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and planning
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Proficiency in using tax software applications such as Lacerte, ProSystem fx, CCH, or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changing tax laws and regulations, as well as evolving client needs and priorities
• Upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality when handling sensitive client tax information
• At least 20 hours per week of availability

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
• Provide proactive tax planning advice to clients
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations
• Interact with clients to gather tax-related information
• Assist clients in meeting their tax compliance obligations
• Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns and related documentation
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
