Summary

The job is for a remote tax preparer responsible for preparing individual tax returns, handling 1040s, K-1s, and quarterly tax payments, ensuring compliance with tax laws, providing strategic tax planning advice, and staying updated on tax laws and industry trends. Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns, particularly for self-employed individuals and business owners, is required along with strong knowledge of 1040s, K-1s, and quarterly tax filings. Excellent organizational skills are necessary, and a CPA certification is beneficial but not mandatory.

Requirements

• Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns, particularly for self-employed individuals and business owners
• Strong knowledge of 1040s, K-1s, and quarterly tax filings
• Ability to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• As you will be working from home, please be advised that we will require you to prepare certain Technical Requirements for you to meet the industry standard
• A dedicated secluded working space away from noise and any distractions
• Updated personal computer or laptop with webcam
• Stable internet connection of at least 5Mbps and a backup of a pocket WiFi or Mobile Data

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns for self-employed individuals and business owners
• Handle tax filings for 1040s, K-1s, and quarterly tax payments
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations
• Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize tax liabilities
• Stay updated on the latest tax laws and industry trends

Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification is a plus but not required
