Join Burkland Associates as a Tax Senior - Indirect Sales and Use to support indirect tax compliance, reporting, research, consulting, planning, and integration activities. This is a unique opportunity to work across multiple organizations and companies as they grow and scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, Law, or related field
• 3-5 years of multi-jurisdictional indirect tax advisory services and indirect tax compliance
• Detailed understanding and knowledge of multi-jurisdictional indirect tax principles
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, and priorities, and reprioritize as needed in this fast-paced environment
• Experience in process improvement, governance, and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, including excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices
• Advanced proficiency in Google G Suite (Spreadsheet, Docs, Slides, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Analyze and accurately prepare required tax returns and related payments
• Monitor, research and examine tax issues affecting clients and communicate appropriate tax positions through written or oral presentation
• Assist clients with indirect tax controversy notices. Monitor client’s business and develop tax strategy
• Assemble and maintain accounting and tax records to support filed returns and financial statement accounting
• Identify ways to streamline and improve processes through data analytics and other technology tools including software integration
