Tax Supervisor

Summary

Join our team as an experienced Tax Manager to lead the review and compliance function for our client's growing US tax practice. Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and review of complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership), while identifying strategic tax-saving opportunities for high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients. Work directly with the firm owner and key partners to ensure compliance, minimize liabilities, and provide proactive tax planning guidance. This remote role offers a weekly pay and requires 40 hours per week during US business hours. Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals. Stay current on tax law changes and their impact. Serve as a client and internal stakeholder point of contact for tax guidance.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to interpret tax laws and identify tax-saving opportunities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and tax authorities
• Proficiency in tax software and reporting tools (e.g., UltraTax, QuickBooks, CCH Axcess)
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the accurate and timely preparation and review of various tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, etc.)
• Conduct tax planning and research to identify tax-saving opportunities and minimize tax liabilities
• Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on clients or the organization
• Serve as a point of contact for clients or internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on tax issues
• Assist in tax audits, inquiries, and investigations by tax authorities
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals or staff
• Collaborate with other departments or external consultants as needed
