Summary

Join Correlation One as a part-time, contract Cloud Support Specialist instructor for a 40-week program starting February 2025. This fully remote role involves teaching approximately 30 learners in virtual sessions twice a week for 3 hours each. Additional responsibilities include providing office hours, asynchronous support, grading assignments, and contributing to course improvement. The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years of experience in cloud support or related fields, strong communication skills, and relevant certifications. The position requires flexibility, empathy, and a passion for working with diverse learners. Compensation is location-specific and considers experience and skills.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience in Cloud Support, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Networking, DevOps, etc
  • A desire to support students in expanding their careers in technical roles
  • Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
  • Outstanding team and people management skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to understand and use new learning and content management systems
  • Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner, Comp TIA Network+, and Comp TIA Linux+

Responsibilities

  • Attend all LIVE lectures and provide support for the training program
  • Provide one hour of “Drop - In Office Hours/Review Session” per week
  • Attend the TA Weekly Meeting (30 min each week)
  • Be available for 1:1 office hour requests with assigned learners based on availability
  • Complete grading of Fellow’s deliverables (2 hours each week)
  • Work with fellow instructors and the Correlation One team on ways to improve learner experience
  • Monitor your Slack channel to answer Learners’ questions
  • Review the materials for the week so you are prepared to answer questions
  • Contribute to course design improvement through thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team
  • Participate in the weekly meeting (time TBD)
  • Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments and challenges
  • Monitor the Slack channels throughout the day to answer Fellows’ questions
  • Hold live office hours during weekdays
  • Monitor appropriate Slack channels and answer Learners’ questions
  • Support Learners who are experiencing technical issues accessing training platform or materials
  • Hold Individual Office Hours via Zoom weekly with Learners to assist in their Capstone Project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Slack, Zoom, and Gmail
  • Prior mentorship or teaching experience at any level
