Requirements

• Leadership: While extensive management experience is not required, you have an aptitude for mentoring and guiding teams. Previous experience in people management is a plus
• Experience: You have a proven track record as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role, with experience in leading teams, even if on a small scale
• Technical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of machine learning engineering (MLE), including what is technically feasible and the limitations of various approaches
• Communication: You demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly with Product Management
• Continuous Improvement: You have a passion for innovation and a constant drive to improve existing systems and processes

Responsibilities

• Manage and Mentor: Guide and expand the team of Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Drive Innovation: Develop and execute machine learning projects that reduce manual processes and enhance customer experience
• Collaborate: Work closely with Product Managers and the Data Platform team to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals
• Deliver Impact: Lead critical projects like OCR and fraud detection, contributing directly to the company’s competitive edge and customer satisfaction
• Optimize Processes: Enhance project delivery processes, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output
