Summary

Join Encora, a leading digital engineering and modernization partner, as a Software Engineer in Brazil. This full-time, work-from-home position involves mentoring team members, leading the design and development of new features, and participating in the entire development lifecycle. You will be responsible for implementing solutions from coding to testing, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to technical discussions. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, functional programming, TDD, GraphQL, API/REST, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements

• It is expected that the ideal candidate understands a broad range of Software Engineering concepts and their applicability
• It is expected that the ideal candidate understands a broad range of Web Development concepts and their applicability
• It is expected that the candidate will be able to discuss the trade-offs of different design approaches by elaborating detailed design documents or expressing verbally these in meetings with stakeholders
• Solid Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Solid Experience with ReactJS
• Solid understanding of Functional programming principles
• Experience with TDD being able to comfortably write Unit and Integration tests
• Experience with GraphQL
• Strong background on API/REST
• Knowledge on NodeJS and Express
• Experience working with agile/scrum teams
• Experience in troubleshooting production issues
• Knowledge in UI/UX techniques and design patterns
• Knowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience guiding Agile Teams
• Experience with AWS in one or more of the following services: - AppSync, pipeline resolvers; - Lambdas; - S3; - RDS

Responsibilities

• Mentor team members and ensure project’s success
• Lead the design and development of new features
• Participation in the complete cycle of development from requirements gathering, development, and testing
• Participation in technical discussions with stakeholders
• Implement the designed solution from coding to testing

• Experience with Wiris
• Experience with 1EdTech QTI
• Experience with automated testing leveraging Jest, Cypress or Selenium
• Experience with customizing third party embedded components in React
